Bad bosses hate truth because they’re afraid it will expose their misconduct. So they punish good employees and well-intentioned colleagues who tell the truth. 

If your boss or colleague is trying to get you to lie or shut up, keep in mind the words of Mahatma Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi:

“Truth never damages a cause that is just.”
